Psychological research on lung cancer
Why such a study?
Previous studies conclude that bronchial cancer has a greater impact on the psychological life of patients than other sites.
Research is exploring this difference to better tailor management.
In some cases, lung cancer patients may feel stigmatised because of smoking, which remains the major risk factor for the development of this disease.
Currently, the non-smoking population is growing considerably.
Hence the importance of exploring the psychological responses to this disease in order to better develop specific ways of managing it

Presentation
I am Gregory Rouleaud, doctoral student in clinical psychology and psychopathologies at the University of Lorraine, Interpsy laboratory, axe PsyClip.
The thesis I am preparing is co-supervised by Professor Claude de Tychey and Professor Lony Schiltz.
The subject of my work is the exploration and comparison of the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and embitterment disorder in people with non-small cell lung cancer.
This research could help to improve the diagnosis of psychological responses to the announcement of the disease and its various stages. In short, to improve psychological care.
